What’s open, closed on Labor Day, September 2
Labor Day, observed on Monday, September 2, 2024, is a federal holiday, and many businesses and services will be closed. Here’s a guide to what you can expect:
Federal and State Agencies:
- Federal courts and non-essential federal offices will be closed.
- State governments in the Mid-Atlantic region, following the federal example, will also close administrative and non-essential offices on Labor Day.
