Watchdog Group Identifies 35 “Rogue Election Officials” Ahead of 2024 Presidential Election
According to report of NewsNation A watchdog group has identified 35 “rogue election officials” across nearly every battleground state who previously refused to certify election results and could potentially do so again in the upcoming election. The report, issued by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), highlights officials in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan—states where election certification challenges have arisen since 2020.
CREW’s report also outlines potential legal measures to address these challenges, including emergency court orders to enforce compliance, criminal charges to deter misconduct, and legal procedures to remove obstructionist officials from their posts.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to identify and address potential issues before the November presidential election. On Sunday, independent journalist Justin Glawe appeared on “NewsNation Prime” to discuss his Rolling Stone exclusive, which names nearly 70 swing-state officials who are election deniers. Glawe’s list includes those who have refused to certify elections in the past and those who have publicly supported election denial conspiracies.
“This isn’t directly from the Trump campaign,” Glawe noted during the interview. “It’s more of a decentralized network of pro-Trump Republicans who are also local election officials.”
President Joe Biden echoed concerns about election integrity during his first cable interview since leaving the 2024 presidential race. In his CBS interview, Biden expressed doubts about the possibility of a peaceful transfer of power if Trump loses again, highlighting Trump’s influence over local election districts responsible for vote counting.
