Trial Ongoing for Man Charged with Killing Ex-Girlfriend

The murder trial for Jonathan Martinez, accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in 2022, is nearing its conclusion.

Yasmin Marquez was found dead in Sandoval County during the summer of 2022, two months after she went missing. Following the discovery, Martinez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Investigators have indicated that cell phone records placed Martinez at the crime scene. The trial commenced on Monday and is set to wrap up by Friday.
