Good evening, everyone!
Saturday’s afternoon temperatures lingered in the upper 80s and 90s. This evening, we will continue to track thunderstorms and showers in eastern New Mexico. The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the area under a marginal risk for severe weather. The main threats tonight include strong wind gusts up to 70 mph and pockets of large hail, up to quarter-sized.
Sunday morning will bring mild temperatures ranging from the low to upper 60s, with light to breezy northeast winds at less than 15 mph. Afternoon temperatures will be slightly cooler, in the upper 70s and 80s. Another round of thunderstorms and showers is expected along the NM/TX Stateline tomorrow afternoon, but severe weather is not anticipated at this time. Have a great and safe weekend!
