
The Alamogordo Tigers Track and Field teams delivered strong performances at the Ron Singleton Invitational in Carlsbad, with the girls’ team securing second place and the boys finishing third overall.
State Qualifiers
Several athletes met state qualifying marks, including:
- Teeya Gordon – Shot Put
- Alynah Simental – 300 Hurdles
- Aubrey Allen – Pole Vault
- Nathan Cereceres – Triple Jump & High Jump
- Julian Benitez – 100 Meters
- Boys 4×200 Relay Team
Girls’ Standout Performances
The Alamogordo girls’ team had multiple top finishes, including first-place wins from Elizabeth Farmer in the 800 meters (2:33.72) and Madison Gigler in the discus (118-07). Teeya Gordon dominated in shot put (35-10), while Nyah Bowen placed second in the javelin (92-02).

In the relay events, the 4×800 team (Adelynn DeBoef, Elizabeth Farmer, Olivia Morris, Breanna Padilla) and the 4×400 team (Eniola Komolafe, Ayanna Gilbert, Olivia Morris, Breanna Padilla) both took first place, clocking 10:51.44 and 4:32.47, respectively.
Boys’ Top Performances
On the boys’ side, Nathan Cereceres had a strong showing, winning the triple jump (42-06) and finishing sixth in the high jump (6-02). Julian Benitez placed third in the 100 meters (11.11), while Matthew Snyder secured third place in the 3200 meters (10:46.17).
The boys’ 4×100 relay team (Nathan Cereceres, Tristan Bowman, Dylan Hergenreder, Julian Benitez) took first place with a time of 43.36, while the 4×400 team finished second (3:36.21).
