Search Underway for Missing Teen with Special Needs Believed to be in New Mexico
Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating Elijah Reese, a missing teenager with special needs from Woodland Park, Colorado, who is thought to be in New Mexico.
Reese, who left his home on July 24, was driving a white 2017 Honda Pilot with a Colorado license plate CVTC46. There is a possibility that the license plate may have been altered or replaced with an expired Texas plate, JRV9357.
The last confirmed sighting of Reese’s vehicle occurred on July 24 when he was seen traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 84 near Chama. His father, Cameron Reese, believes that Elijah may be in the Albuquerque area. Known for his love of hiking, Elijah could potentially be on a hiking trail.
Cameron Reese expressed concern that his son may be disoriented and not fully aware of his surroundings. “He may come out of that mental state he was in when he left and not really know where he is or why he’s there. He might start searching for food or resources, as he didn’t bring any with him,” Cameron explained.
Anyone with information on Elijah Reese’s whereabouts is urged to contact local law enforcement or the Woodland Park, CO Police Department at (719) 687-9262.
