According to The Sun, Sam’s Club has announced that all locations will be closed for 24 hours, leaving many shoppers scrambling for alternatives. The same closure applies to Costco, and the reason behind this decision is understandable.

Holiday Closures to Consider

Both warehouse retailers have a set of holiday closures that could complicate shopping plans, as confirmed by the Sam’s Club and Costco websites. Sam’s Club will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, prompting shoppers to plan ahead for their turkey and yams.

In addition to Thanksgiving, Sam’s Club also observes closures on other major holidays, including New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Christmas Day. This means Costco members will need to plan their shopping accordingly, as their favorite warehouses will also be closed on these key holidays.

Adjusted Hours for Certain Holidays

While Sam’s Club is closed for significant holidays, it also adjusts its hours during certain occasions. On Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day, Sam’s Club opens for limited hours, with Plus members allowed entry at 8 am and Club members at 10 am, both closing at 6 pm.

Grocery Stores Open on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for family gatherings and feasting, but many people find themselves in need of last-minute grocery items. Fortunately, several grocery chains will be open to assist those looking to stock up or adjust their holiday meals.
