The New Mexico State Legislature has announced the resignation of Representative Jared Hembree of Chaves County, citing urgent health concerns as the reason for his departure.
In a statement released Saturday, Rep. Hembree shared his heartfelt decision:
“It is with a heavy heart that I step down from the State Legislature. Serving the people of my district has been a profound honor. My family and I believe in Chaves County, and we must prioritize my health to ensure that we can serve in good faith in the future.”
