The moving container company allegedly recorded consumer calls without proper consent, violating California’s two-party consent laws. Though 1-800-PACK-RAT denies wrongdoing, they have agreed to settle the case to avoid further litigation.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for compensation, individuals must have:
- Resided in California.
- Received a call from 1-800-PACK-RAT’s customer service department between September 27, 2021, and October 10, 2022.
Claim Details
Class members can receive approximately $100 per qualifying call. Those who provide their tax identification number can receive payments totaling over $600. Without this information, the maximum payout is capped at $600.
