“New Mexico Braces for Rain as Moisture Moves In”
On Sunday, New Mexico will experience an influx of sub-tropical moisture due to Tropical Storm Ileana and a developing low-pressure system over Northern California. This weather pattern is expected to bring widespread storms across much of the state on both Sunday and Monday, with the exception of Southern New Mexico, which may see less precipitation.
By Monday, the low-pressure system will move from Northern California to the Great Basin. This shift will also push the moisture eastward across New Mexico. As a result, Eastern New Mexico will have the highest likelihood of storms through the middle of next week. Rain chances will follow the movement of the moisture, making Eastern regions the focus of storm activity.
