NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Carrie Osgood, a native of New Mexico, has built a diverse career as a creative communications strategist, educator, and alternative storyteller. One of her storytelling mediums is through picture books, including her works “Escapades in Caves” and “Path to the Palace.”

Escapades in Caves was developed as a personal project for Osgood to process her grief after the devastating Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire, which burned near her hometown of Las Vegas, NM. She drew on her experiences traveling overseas to craft the metaphor of caves that is central to the story.

In addition to her writing, Osgood runs an educational program called YourStoryGPS, which provides creative guidance for individuals working on their own creative projects. For more information about Carrie Osgood, her books, and her educational programs, visit her website.
