My 15-year-old brother launched a simple side business of flipping things online and made $1,000 in a week
According to The SUN, A BROTHER shared how his younger sibling is profiting from an easy side hustle and earned $1,000 in just one week.
The 15-year-old’s couch-flipping side hustle is a simple way to earn extra cash, and starting just requires a quick search online.
Brad (@salesforceforeveryone) shares career tips with his over 67,000 TikTok followers.
In one video, the TikToker deviated from his typical tech-centered content and shared how his younger brother turned an idea into some serious cash.
“So I’ve been in tech my entire life, but my 15-year-old brother is not interested in tech,” Brad began.
“In fact, he’s not really interested in a part-time or a full-time job or any sort of normal working situation at all.”
Brad asked his brother how he expected to make money, and the 15-year-old came back with the idea of flipping couches.
The teen found FlipCouches.com, which provided him with a free guide on how to get started.
The website offers a free side hustle starter pack, which includes video lessons and over 15 pages of content about how to flip couches.
“You find the right couch, negotiate the deal, pickup, cleanup, post, sell, deliver! Sounds like a lot! But it’s not! You can flip more than one a day!” reads the website.
It estimates that side hustlers can profit between $200 and $600 per couch sold.
In one week, Brad’s younger brother managed to make over $1,000 flipping couches.
The TikToker shared that he provided key supplies, such as a car and trailer, and helped out by driving.
“But it is wild to me,” said Brad.
“Because when I was his age, there’s no way I could have made $1,000 in a week and he pulled this off with seeming just ease.”
CASH FOR COOKIES
Another teen earns $700 a week with her simple baking side hustle.
The young girl began a home bakery business, making chocolate chip cookies with some baking help from her mother and selling assistance from her brother.
The baking crew makes eight dozen chocolate chip cookies using Nestle’s Tollhouse recipe every weekday.
“We make the dough early in the morning so it has time to chill, package in the evening, and that’s what we sell the next day,” explained the mother in a TikTok video.
The family sells one dozen cookies for $20 and found that blue-collar men are their top customers.
They regularly sell the cookies to painters or plumbers in their neighborhood, with their peak selling time being between 3 pm and 5 pm.
“$20 seems to be the magic price. Everybody’s got a $20 in their wallet,” said the mother.
“We’re clearing a $140 day. That’s not riches, but it’s a good little side hustle.”
Another teen makes $100 a night with their sports side hustle.
Plus, an entrepreneur turned her backyard into a side hustle that brings in $8,400 a month – she only works six hours a week.
