Mountain Lion Rescued and Relocated After Found in Albuquerque

According to Krqe, A mountain lion was discovered near Tramway Boulevard in Albuquerque on Saturday. The sighting prompted a response from local authorities who found the big cat hanging in a tree near Tramway and Spain.

Officers, in collaboration with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, successfully tranquilized the lion. They then carefully transported the animal out of the Foothills area.

The mountain lion was tagged for tracking purposes and is scheduled to be relocated to the Manzano Mountains to ensure its safety and well-being.
