MONEY RETURN: Sephora shoppers can claim $500 payment from $9.2 million skincare settlement after ‘misleading customers’ on effects
According to THE SUN, Customers of Sephora may be eligible for one-time cash payments of up to $500 from a settlement involving a premium skincare brand. Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare has agreed to pay $9.2 million to resolve claims that it misled customers through its product labeling.
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Settlement
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, a luxury skincare brand founded by dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross, sells its products at retailers like Sephora and medical spas. The settlement comes after plaintiffs accused the brand of misleading customers about the collagen content in its C+Collagen products.
Collagen is a key protein in skincare that promotes moisture, elasticity, and skin rejuvenation. Plaintiffs argued that they would not have purchased the C+Collagen products or paid premium prices had they known the products did not contain collagen as advertised.
While the company has not admitted any wrongdoing, it has agreed to settle the claims by paying $9.2 million.
