LOWE MOOD: Lowe’s apologizes to angry shopper raging service is a ‘travesty’ – says he’s still waiting on order after 7 months
According to The Sun, An angry customer has taken to social media to voice his frustration with Lowe’s customer service after waiting seven months for a door installation. The dissatisfied shopper shared his experience on X (formerly Twitter), lamenting the lack of support he received throughout the long wait. He wrote, “Has anyone experienced the travesty that is Lowe’s Installation Services? I am still waiting for the door I ordered in February. Lots of excuses, little service provided.” He concluded his post by tagging Lowe’s to seek a resolution.
In response to the backlash, Lowe’s publicly apologized, commenting under the post: “We’re sorry for your experience. Please contact our case managers via DM as they have access to your order information and will be in the best position to assist you. Thank you.”
Overcharging Allegations Surface
The customer service woes don’t stop there; another unhappy shopper also took to social media, claiming she was overcharged at Lowe’s Market. Rachel Thornton posted on Facebook, detailing her alleged overcharges, including a charge for an item she never purchased: cherries. Alongside a photo of her receipt, she stated she was overcharged by $15.01. Her post quickly attracted attention, prompting other customers to share their own experiences of similar grievances.
Commenters suggested various responses, with one advising, “Easy fix. Quit shopping at Lowe’s,” while another emphasized the importance of being vigilant at the register, stating, “That’s why I do self-check.” A third user chimed in, calling the retailer “crooks.”
Store Layout Frustrations
Customers have also expressed dissatisfaction with Lowe’s store layout, particularly as the holiday season approaches. Some shoppers criticized the retailer for poorly organizing holiday decorations. With Halloween and Christmas items mixed together, one local customer, LeVolker Cox, shared his discontent on Facebook, posting an image that showcased giant scarecrows and ghoulish skeletons alongside Christmas trees and inflatable Santas. He argued, “First, putting ghouls, ghosts, and witches next to Christmas decorations is wrong,” and he felt that while it was reasonable for Halloween items to be available, sales shouldn’t start so early given that Halloween is still over a month away.
