According to Vibes.okdiario, If you receive SNAP benefits in the United States and your monthly payment hasn’t arrived yet, it’s important to check the upcoming paydays. Food Stamp payments will be issued through September 28, 2024.

The amount you receive in SNAP benefits depends on various factors, including your earnings, household size, and specific circumstances. In the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia, the maximum benefit for a household of eight can reach up to $1,751.

Final SNAP Payments for September

According to the USDA’s payment schedule, 17 states are set to send out their final Food Stamp payments in September, meaning that 33 states have already completed their distributions.

Several states will finish sending SNAP benefits on September 20, including New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Washington. Meanwhile, Texas and Florida will continue processing payments until September 28.

SNAP Benefit Amounts Before the 2025 COLA Increase

If you qualify for the maximum SNAP benefits and your household has five members, you could receive up to $1,155. A single individual can get up to $291, with averages around $202. For a family of three, the maximum benefit is $766, while married couples or households of two can receive up to $535. Payments are distributed via EBT cards.

You can use your EBT card at any eligible farmer’s market, grocery store, or retailer that accepts it. Make sure to verify that your preferred shopping locations accept EBT and to purchase only SNAP-eligible food items, as there are restrictions on what can be bought.

These maximum benefit amounts will remain unchanged until September 30, 2024. After the 2025 COLA increase takes effect, SNAP benefits will rise on October 1, 2024. Here’s a look at the future maximum amounts based on household size in the 48 states and DC:
