It’s no secret that Kelly Clarkson has shed a significant amount of weight lately; on every episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, she flaunts her newly trim figure. We would follow suit if we looked that amazing!
Many have been curious about the 41-year-old “Mine” singer’s motivation for starting her weight loss quest, with some fans speculating that it was a vengeance body glow-up following her divorce. That isn’t truly the case, though.
Kelly Clarkson Discloses Her True Motivation for Starting a Weight Loss Journey
The fact that ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is kicking himself is undoubtedly a perk, but the American Idol alumna admitted that she felt pressured by physicians to drop weight. She disclosed that approximately two years ago, medical professionals informed her that she had pre-diabetes, but she didn’t do anything about it until later.
Actor Kevin James complemented the “Because of You” singer on her appearance during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. “Well, I was told I was pre-diabetic,” she later disclosed. That is precisely what took place. It did not surprise me. I had a slight weight gain.”
She went on to say to the actor from King of Queens: “But I wasn’t stunned by it. ‘You’re pre-diabetic,’ they said. You’re exactly where the line is. ‘But I’m not there yet,’ I said. After two years, I decided to take action and felt that it was appropriate.
Kelly Clarkson Discloses Her Weight Loss Methods
Everyone is curious as to how the former coach of The Voice shed so much weight, and many have speculated that she is taking Ozempic, the diabetic weight loss medication that has become popular in Hollywood and is used by many celebrities, including Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, and Oprah Winfrey.
In a recent interview with People, the talk show presenter, however, shot off those allegations, claiming that she lost all the weight by eating a high-protein diet and getting lots of exercise. The “Stronger” hitmaker discussed her divorce, her move to New York City from Los Angeles, and her new, healthy life in her magazine cover story. She gave the explanation that she had to go from Los Angeles to New York City for her “mental health,” and she is enjoying her time in the Big Apple. She said that she lost some weight by getting to know her new place.
She told the magazine, “Walking in the city is quite the workout.” She shares her children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, with her ex-husband, and spends her non-working days doing precisely that. She described her daily routine with the dogs as “we go walk the dogs a few times at the park.”
It’s not just walking that’s assisted her in losing weight. “I consume a balanced variety,” she said. “I lost weight because I started paying attention to my doctor, which I wasn’t doing for a few years. And since I benefit from a high-protein diet anyhow, I’m usually really excellent at it—90% of the time. I’m a Texas gal, so I apologize to all vegetarians worldwide, but I like meat.”
Supporters Reject Kelly’s Weight Loss Narrative
Many followers of Kelly shared their opinions on social media regarding her weight loss journey. The “Since U Been Gone” singer was receiving a lot of positive feedback, but some people didn’t fully buy the narrative she was presenting. At the time, one user said, “Not buying what you are selling, Kelly!”
“She is lying,” remarked someone else. “There is no way she dropped all that weight that quickly without the aid of meds.” Another user questioned, “Why can’t she just be honest about jumping on the Ozempic train?” “She doesn’t seem credible,” an additional user said. “One of the Olympic-style diet pills is being used by her. She’s struggled with weight for a while, so why has she suddenly lost it all at the same time as Ozempics? Nope. She is dishonest.”
Others, meanwhile, were merely pleased that Kelly was content. “She looks happy, and I think that has helped her lose weight,” a supporter commented. “What does it matter if she uses it? She is presently well and content.” Another fan questioned, “Why does it matter how she lost the weight?” “The important thing to remember is that she’s now at a healthy weight, preventing further catastrophic illnesses. Well done, I say!”
