Josh Hall Breaks Silence on Divorce from Christina Hall
Josh Hall has spoken out for the first time about his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Christina Hall. On August 2, Josh, 43, took to Instagram to address the situation, sharing a somber selfie with his dog.
“I prefer to keep my private life private, especially during a life-changing event like a divorce that I didn’t initiate,” Josh wrote in his post. “I will not publicly criticize anyone, as they have families, friends, and others who care about them. Unfortunately, what happens online lasts forever.”
Christina, 41, and Josh both filed for divorce last month. Christina filed first, citing their separation date as July 7, while Josh listed July 8 in his court documents.
“We are real people with real lives, and I’m not here to entertain strangers with my personal matters,” Josh continued. “These issues will be resolved fairly with our lawyers behind closed doors. Those who know us understand who we are.”
An exclusive source told Us Weekly on August 3 that Christina and Josh have not yet begun negotiations regarding their divorce. Josh’s court filing seeks a fair division of their assets, including their Newport Beach home and rights to Christina’s HGTV shows. The couple, who married in 2022, did not sign a prenuptial agreement.
Earlier, Christina addressed the divorce on social media in July, stating she would not agree to a 50/50 split of their personal assets. “I have worked hard to build this life for myself and my children,” she wrote on Instagram Story. “Anyone trying to claim what they haven’t earned should be ashamed. An insecure man with a large ego may try to derail you, but ‘still I rise.’”
Christina has a daughter, Taylor, 13, and a son, Brayden, 8, from her previous marriage to Tarek El Moussa, and a younger son, Hudson, 4, with her ex-husband Ant Anstead. In her July statement, Christina noted that “divorces don’t happen overnight” and there is often a breaking point.
According to another insider on August 3, Christina’s legal team offered Josh a “seven-figure-plus settlement,” which he reportedly declined. “His attorney felt the offer was too low,” the source said.
