The 27-year-old swimmer doesn’t seem to be dating anyone and isn’t married. Her social media accounts don’t mention anyone in particular; instead, they are all about her sport and sponsorships. Though it may sound like a tired cliché, Ledecky is genuinely too preoccupied with training to have time for romance. Ledecky only left her Palo Alto apartment “to swim and lift weights” during the coronavirus quarantine, according to Pat Forde of Sports Illustrated.

Between March 2020 and April 2021, Ledecky didn’t even get to see her family in person, according to Forde:

After Tokyo, Ledecky’s regimen didn’t get any easier. Ledecky disclosed that she goes to the gym five times a week and swims ten times a week in the March 2024 issue of Women’s Health. Regarding her little leisure time, she remarked, “I love to cook.” “I try to prepare wholesome meals to complement my training.”

“Super Friggin” Competitive Is Ledecky Puts Training First Above All Else

Ledecky chose to complete her psychology degree at Stanford and minor in political science during her year off from dating. She informed Sports Illustrated that she FaceTimed her older brother, Michael, as well as her parents, Mary Gen and David Ledecky.

It goes without saying that Ledecky was not meeting new love interests or spending hours swiping right or left on dating apps. Ledecky, who works out ten times a week, acknowledged that her competitive nature overrides her wish to have a “normal” life.

Ledecky stated, “It’s just always chasing another goal.” “I don’t expect that of myself every time I race, but in a way, I do.” It’s undoubtedly more difficult to set personal records these days. I kind of treat every race as though it were a big deal, and I have high expectations for myself each time.

Greg Meehan, Ledecky’s swim coach, is constantly inspired by her commitment to the sport. Meehan remarked, “You can check all the technique boxes and not be close to as good as her.” “It’s not just about saying, ‘Give me work.’ It’s about attacking with that appetite for work.” “Give me work, and I’ll go be the best in the pool every day,” is how it goes. She is extremely fiercely competitive, quiet, and reserved.

Her work ethic is still strengthened by her competitive mentality. “I view going to the gym as recreation rather than work.” I find it enjoyable,” she said to Women’s Health. “I’m pretty good at focusing on my own objectives and ignoring any expectations that others may have of me.”

“I think that’s what contributes to the sport’s longevity more than anything else; I feel like I love it more and more every year.”

Katie Ledecky intends to compete in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

Unfortunately, Ledecky will be extremely busy for the next few years if you’re trying to date her. Even though Ledecky is currently the most decorated female swimmer in Olympic history, she does not intend to retire following her time in Paris.

In May, she told NBC Sports, “It’s very appealing that the [2028] Olympics are in Los Angeles.” Athletes rarely have the chance to compete in home games. I firmly intend to continue until 2028, regardless of whether I participate in a relay, a single event, or several.
