“Investigation Launched into Chemical Storage at NM Highlands University After Custodian’s Death”
An investigation is currently underway into hazardous chemical storage at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas following the recent death of a custodian who worked in the university’s Ivan Hilton Science Building.
According to the university, reports of chemical spills in the building date back to July 16, prompting the shutdown of the facility on September 3. However, it remains unclear at this time if the custodian’s death is directly related to the chemical spills.
The New Mexico Department of Health is advising employees who may be experiencing any unusual symptoms to seek medical attention.
