According to the latest Nielsen data, Tubi has become the most popular free, ad-supported streaming service, even matching Disney+ in terms of hours watched. Roku users can also access thousands of additional shows and films by adding the Tubi channel to their accounts, and the service is compatible with the Amazon app store and Fire TV devices, including game controllers and voice remotes.

This news follows reports that dozens of Americans could receive a one-time payment of over $3,000 from a $5.1 million privacy settlement involving Magid Gloves. The lawsuit claims the company violated Illinois laws by using fingerprint time clocks and thermal scanners without proper disclosures regarding the collection of biometric information. Anyone who used either technology at Magid’s facility in Romeoville, Illinois, between January 8, 2016, and August 30, 2024, may benefit from the settlement.
Magid Gloves, which manufactures work gloves and protective equipment, has agreed to pay $5.175 million to resolve the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) class action lawsuit.
In another case, customers of the insurance company Group 1001 may claim one-time payments of up to $5,000 following a £4.76 million data breach settlement. This settlement is available to customers, employees, dependants, payees, and anyone whose personal information may have been compromised due to a breach in February 2023. Plaintiffs allege that Group 1001 failed to implement adequate cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, leading to the breach.
