According to a recent report by KRQE, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham appeared on national television for the second time in two months, addressing both state and national issues.

In her previous appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation” in June, Governor Lujan Grisham discussed extreme weather events, including wildfires and flooding impacting Ruidoso and Las Vegas, and also touched on the southern border situation.

On Sunday, she returned to “Face the Nation” to revisit the topic of the southern border. Additionally, the governor weighed in on the potential vice-presidential pick for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, notably praising Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, though she stopped short of offering an official endorsement.

The governor is now focusing on public engagement, with upcoming town hall meetings scheduled in Albuquerque and EspaƱola. These meetings will provide an opportunity for New Mexicans to voice their concerns and discuss issues related to public safety.
