According to The Sun, A major grocery chain and rival of Aldi, Lidl, continues to expand its footprint in the United States, opening a new store in the Bronx, New York on October 23. However, some shoppers express confusion over the excitement surrounding these openings.

Grand Opening Celebration

The new store, located at 700 Exterior St., Bronx, NY 10451, will host a grand opening event that starts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:40 a.m. Local leaders will welcome Lidl to the community, followed by a celebration featuring special offers for shoppers. The store will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This location is part of Lidl’s expanding network in the New York City area, joining existing stores in Harlem, Glen Oaks, and Weehawken. The Bronx store is expected to create approximately 48 new jobs for the community.

At the grand opening, the first 100 customers in line before the store opens will receive special gift cards valued between $5 and $100. In addition, shoppers can sample Lidl’s wide assortment of products and participate in special giveaways.
