According to Heavy.com Even though the two are competitors on the track, Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield gave him a lot of support after he won gold at the Olympics in Paris.
Before her boyfriend’s big night on August 4, Bromfield, an Olympic participant for Jamaica, had previously won a bronze in the women’s 4×400-meter relay at the Paris Olympics. She was supporting Lyles on Sunday as he defeated her own teammate to win the gold in the 100-meter sprint.
With a record of 9.784 seconds, Lyles beat Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson by 0.005 to win gold and become the first American winner of the 100 meters since Justin Gatlin in 2004.
Following the race, Bromfield celebrated Lyles’ triumph on Instagram by posting a number of pictures and videos, one of which had the caption, “You Can’t Catch Me.”

In a June interview on the “Fast Lane Lifestyle” podcast, Bromfield revealed that she initially contacted Lyles on social media in 2017 and the two began dating. Lyles and Bromfield have been together since 2022.
During the show, Lyles remarked, “We both knew that we liked each other, but she could never get a day off from MVP [Track Club] to come visit.” “I would have gotten what, so I couldn’t come visit? A couple of hours? After that, I’d have to board a plane again to come to practice on Monday.
Their friendship developed into a partnership over a few years. According to Lyles, he and Bromfield now collaborate as well, encouraging and training one another to achieve success.
In a July interview, Lyles told Us Weekly, “My girlfriend’s on [a] team too, so we are training together and we’re competing most of the same day.” “We can share and constantly nourish each other because we have that mental space.”
Noah Lyles’s Adoration of Jamaican Traditions
Earlier this year, Lyles told reporters that he receives a lot of love from Bromfield’s supporters in her home country of Jamaica, where they had spent a lot of time together.
He stated, via People magazine, “You’re treated like a freaking rock star when you go to Jamaica.”
Lyles claimed to have been to his girlfriend’s hometown previously and to have worn an Adidas jumpsuit in the national colors of Jamaica to show off his affection for the island.
Bromfield has been able to focus on her mental health thanks to Lyles as well. In 2020, the American sprinter informed People magazine that he started using antidepressants in order to improve his health.
“I’m not going to give up just because I’m having trouble,” the athlete told PEOPLE. “I’m not superhuman; I’m just a human being with feelings and emotions.”
According to Bromfield, Lyles gave her the motivation to take action to improve her mental health.
In an interview with The Inside Lane, Bromfield stated, “I started therapy about two years ago because my boyfriend is big on therapy and I felt I needed it.” It’s been quite beneficial since I was struggling with survivor’s guilt, which was a burden. I now believe that while life is fleeting, I can live it to the fullest and savor every moment.
