AlamogordoTownNews.org reports that David Pena and Angela Moreno have been arrested by the Alamogordo Police for multiple counts of fraud. This follows a series of investigative reports released in September by AlamogordoTownNews.org and KALHRadio.org, which exposed allegations of fraud linked to the business Alamogordo Technology Solutions, owned by Pena and Moreno.

In a September 6th article, the outlets covered a police raid, eviction, and advisory warning the public about the business. On September 9th, another article titled “Alamogordo Police Department Document Dump and Videos Around Allegations of Fraud by Alamogordo Technology Solutions” detailed customer complaints dating back two years, including reports to the Better Business Bureau, alleging consumers were defrauded or that services were not delivered as promised.

Incident #24A-09592 reveals that on August 20, 2024, Detective Bunker was assigned to investigate several reports of fraudulent activity at Alamogordo Technology Solutions, located at 3205 North White Sands Blvd. The investigation uncovered 15 reports of fraud ranging from $200 to $2,500, with multiple individuals claiming they paid for services or products they never received, or that were delivered but had significant issues.

The Alamogordo Police Department’s press release on the arrests explained that the investigation began in March 2024, focusing on fraudulent activities at Alamogordo Technology Solutions. David Pena and his wife, Angela Moreno, both 42, were identified as the owners. The investigation covered complaints dating from May 2020 through September 2024, and detectives identified 32 victims who fell prey to schemes involving false advertising, payment collection without delivery, deceptive communication, and failure to address customer complaints.

As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for both Pena and Moreno. On October 11, 2024, they were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Otero County Detention Center, awaiting their first appearance in Magistrate Court.

David Pena faces the following charges:

  • 18 counts of fraud (4th-degree felony; over $500 but less than $2,500)
  • 11 counts of conspiracy to commit fraud (4th-degree felonies)
  • 12 counts of fraud (misdemeanor; less than $500)

Angela Moreno faces the following charges:
