CROCS CLASH: McDonald’s fans divided over new Crocs Happy Meal set to hit US – and customers beg chain to stop giving ‘trendy’ toys
According to THE SUN, McDonald’s is set to debut a Crocs Happy Meal, a surprising new addition to its Happy Meal lineup. The fast-food chain has teamed up with the footwear brand Crocs for this international release, which has already launched in select Asian countries, according to USA Today. The new Happy Meal is now poised to make its way to the United States.
Sneak Peek at the Crocs Happy Meal
Although an official release date for the US has not been announced, food influencer Snackolator (@snackolator) recently shared a preview on Instagram. The Crocs Happy Meal will feature at least 10 miniature keychain toys known as Crocs Clips, each showcasing different colors and elements related to McDonald’s. The meal’s packaging will be styled to resemble the iconic Crocs shoe, complete with faux stickers and pins.

Additionally, Chicken McNugget and World Famous Fries boxes will also sport updated packaging that highlights the Crocs brand. Snackolator expressed optimism about the potential popularity of the Crocs Clips but noted that US customers might not receive all 10 toy designs.
Customer Reactions
The announcement has generated a mixed response from customers. Many expressed excitement about the Crocs and McDonald’s collaboration, with some eagerly anticipating the new Happy Meal. “I love it! I was hoping we’d get these,” one enthusiastic customer commented, while another said, “Such adorableness can’t wait to snag one!”
However, not all feedback has been positive. Some customers have voiced frustration, questioning the decision to include collectible keychains instead of traditional toys. “What the heck happened to the actual toys?” asked one dissatisfied customer. Others worried that kids might not enjoy the new items, with one commenter noting, “I bet most kids would hate getting those.”
Previous Collaborations
This isn’t the first time Crocs and McDonald’s have joined forces. The McDonald’s X Crocs Birdie Classic Clog is still available on the Crocs website. These shoes feature the McDonald’s character Birdie in a predominantly yellow design, adorned with charms representing items like the Egg McMuffin. Currently, they are priced at $52.50, down from $75.00.
Recent McDonald’s Offerings
The introduction of the Crocs Happy Meal follows other recent McDonald’s innovations, which have sparked both confusion and disappointment among fans. The chain’s new mini McFlurry cups with “flaps” and the recent Collector’s Meal cups have also faced mixed reviews.
