
ALAMOGORDO, NM – CHRISTUS Health has announced the completion of its acquisition of Southern New Mexico Surgery Center, marking a significant step in the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality orthopedic and podiatric care to the residents of southern New Mexico. This acquisition also integrates the New Mexico Bone & Joint Institute’s existing clinics in Alamogordo, Las Cruces, and Ruidoso into the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic network.
Micah Axton, Chief Operating Officer of CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, emphasized the organization’s continued growth in New Mexico. “We have been very strategic in our expansion to ensure that we bring innovative and compassionate healthcare closer to the communities we serve,” Axton said. “This acquisition helps us enhance our ability to offer exceptional care and keep our patients close to home.”
Southern New Mexico Surgery Center, now rebranded as CHRISTUS Surgery Center, will continue to focus on providing specialized orthopedic and podiatric care. Located at 2301 Indian Wells Road in Alamogordo, the center is staffed by a team of expert orthopedic surgeons and clinicians dedicated to offering the latest advancements in medical treatment. Services provided at the center include arthritis management, joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, total ankle replacement, back pain treatment, osteoporosis care, and more.
