Child Solicitation Charges Filed Against Six New Mexico Residents
After attempting to have sex with minors who were undercover police officers, six adults in New Mexico have been placed under arrest. As they wait for their pretrial detention hearings on Friday night, they are all still incarcerated.
First up is Rafael Rosas, a 28-year-old who was detained after attempting to arrange a meeting with a 15-year-old. He attempted to meet up in person, but deputies from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested him. The 51-year-old Stephen Phillips comes next. Police in Albuquerque arrested him for attempting to meet with a 12-year-old.
Samantha Clark, 35, mistook her father for a woman when she went to see him. When she got there, she informed the officer that she had a “virus” and that she would not be engaging in sexual activity. The Santa Fe police took her into custody. Police in Albuquerque also detained 44-year-old Matthew Ray Jaramillo. Detective Mahmoud Telfah, 35, was taken into custody by the Albquerque police. Jonmichael Seagroves, 35, was also taken into custody a short while ago. Stephen Rittereiser is the subject of another outstanding warrant.
Child solicitation is the charge against all suspects.
