According to The Sun, A popular grocery chain, Stop & Shop, has launched new “Savings Stations” aimed at helping customers save money as part of a broader store remodeling plan. These digital savings kiosks allow shoppers to take advantage of digital coupons and enhance their shopping experience.
How the Savings Stations Work
The new Savings Stations make it easier for customers to redeem digital coupons and save money through Stop & Shop’s GO Rewards loyalty program. Enrolled customers can earn points that can be redeemed for discounts on future grocery purchases, free products, or savings on gas.
To use the Savings Station, customers can simply scan their GO Rewards loyalty card or enter their phone number to activate all digital coupons linked to their account instantly. Additionally, the kiosks automatically activate personalized offers tailored to each shopper based on their purchasing habits.
Expansion Plans and Customer Feedback
Stop & Shop is the first grocery retailer in Rhode Island to enhance accessibility to digital coupons through these kiosks. The rollout of Savings Stations is part of a larger initiative to install them across all stores brand-wide by early next year.
Roger Wheeler, President of Stop & Shop, stated, “Today, we are announcing a significant investment in our Rhode Island Stop & Shop stores that will deliver a better shopping experience and bring more value to our local customers.” He emphasized that the initiative is a direct response to customer feedback, aiming to help families purchase more groceries at lower costs.
Additional Changes to Enhance Shopping Experience
In addition to the Savings Stations, Stop & Shop has also announced the removal of a 10-cent surcharge for paper bags. Starting in October, shoppers at the chain’s 25 stores in Rhode Island will no longer have to pay for paper bags, which aligns with the company’s initiative to make groceries more affordable.

Some of the items set for price drops include Boneless Chicken Breast Value Packs, Hass Avocados, Kraft Shredded Cheese, and Yoplait Yogurts, with discounts ranging from 11% to as high as 30%.
New Promotions and Offers
Stop & Shop is introducing several additional benefits for Rhode Island shoppers, including weekly sales, a program called “deal lock,” and meal deals. The deal lock program ensures that sale prices remain fixed for several weeks, allowing customers to maximize their savings. Meanwhile, meal deals will provide families of four with discounted main protein-based dishes along with complimentary items to complete the meal.
Stop & Shop operates over 350 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing the grocery shopping experience for customers.
