Albuquerque Woman to Be Released Before Christmas After Plea Deal in Murder Case
Brianna Archuleta, who took a plea deal for her involvement in the murder of a friend’s boyfriend, is set to be released from jail before Christmas. Archuleta, 26, entered a no contest plea to charges of aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery last month.
According to police, Archuleta played a role in planning the murder of Benjamin Moore. In January 2020, Archuleta and several others ambushed Moore outside an apartment near Bridge and Unser, where he was shot and killed.
On Thursday, Judge Lucy Solimon sentenced Archuleta to six months at the Metropolitan Detention Center, followed by one year of house arrest and three years of supervised probation, as stipulated in the plea agreement.
With 40 days of credit for time already served, Archuleta is expected to be released in mid-December.
