Albuquerque Police Investigate Deadly Shooting in Barelas Area
According to report of Krqe, The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Sunday. Officers were initially responding to a crash in the Barelas neighborhood when they were flagged down by a bystander, who reported a separate incident near Gold Avenue and 5th Street SW.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the victim had already died from his injuries. A second victim was also found and transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives are currently investigating the case. Further details have yet to be released as the investigation is ongoing.
