“Alamogordo Public Schools Awarded DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant”

In celebration of National Tradesperson Day, DEWALT, a leading brand under Stanley Black & Decker (NYSE: SWK) and a pioneer in jobsite solutions, announced its significant investment in closing the skilled trades gap by awarding nearly $4 million through its Grow the Trades Grant program. Among the 166 recipients, Alamogordo Public Schools was recognized as one of the beneficiaries of this impactful initiative.

The Grow the Trades Grant program is part of DEWALT’s larger $30 million commitment by 2027 to support skilled trades education and training, making resources and training more accessible for those pursuing careers in these fields.

“As the industry faces the challenge of filling over 500,000 open construction jobs across the country, DEWALT is dedicated to doing our part to support the next generation of trades professionals,” stated Frank Mannarino, President and General Manager of DEWALT. “Our Grow the Trades program is designed to fund vocational training and reskilling programs, ensuring a steady pipeline of talent for the skilled trades industry.”

Spotlight on 2024 Grant Recipients

The 2024 Grow the Trade Grant recipients were chosen through a competitive application process, focusing on organizations that offer trades-focused initiatives with certifications and credentials for skilled tradespeople. These 166 selected organizations are expected to support 150,000 individuals on their journey through high school, trade school, and apprenticeships, contributing to a stronger future for the skilled trades industry.
