The cause of death for adult film star Sophia Leone has been confirmed as a fatal, accidental overdose, according to a police report obtained by TMZ. Leone, who was 26 years old, passed away on March 1.

While the specific substances involved in her death have not yet been disclosed, initial reports indicated that her death was being investigated as “suspicious.” Leone was found unresponsive at her home in New Mexico by a family member, with no signs of trauma observed on her body.

Authorities had previously stated that they were not treating the case as a homicide due to the preliminary autopsy results, which did not reveal any trauma and initially could not determine the exact cause of death. The investigation was conducted under her “performance name,” and additional details were scarce at the time.

In response to the tragic news, 101 Modeling, the adult entertainment agency that had managed some of Leone’s past bookings, expressed their grief in a heartfelt statement on Twitter. “Our hearts are broken by the untimely and tragic passing of our beloved Sophia Leone. A beautiful spirit who touched many of us. RIP sweet angel and know how much we loved you,” the agency wrote.

Leone’s mother informed the police that her daughter had occasionally struggled with heavy drinking and had previously experienced thoughts of self-harm.

Sophia Leone began her career in the adult entertainment industry in 2014 and went on to appear in over 80 scenes. Her untimely death has left many in the industry and beyond mourning the loss of a young life.
