SSI Payments and Annual Amount
Eligible individuals can receive up to $973 per month, which totals $11,676 per year. For married couples, the maximum monthly payment can reach $1,415, amounting to $16,980 annually. Despite this, many Americans who qualify for SSI have not applied yet.
Payments are generally made on the first day of each month. However, if the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, it will be rescheduled to the preceding business day.
