$1,460 payment for 64-year-olds: Social Security confirms paydays in September
According to Vibes.okdiario, Retirees in the United States can expect their monthly Social Security payments to be distributed soon. The Social Security Administration (SSA) will begin processing direct deposits and checks for eligible beneficiaries shortly.
Payments Arriving on September 3
Two specific groups of retirees will receive their payments on September 3, 2024:
- Social Security and SSI Recipients: Retirees who receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) every month will see their payments on September 3.
- Pre-May 1997 Social Security Collectors: Those who started collecting Social Security benefits before May 1997 will also receive their payments on this date.
If you fall into either of these categories, your payment is scheduled to arrive within hours. If your bank does not process the payment on time, contact them directly. Do not report a delay to the SSA until you have waited three mailing days.
